Pandas

The next morning we take a trip to the giant panda breeding and research centre. The purpose of the park is to protect pandas, breed them and return them to the wild. They are being successful in this aim and the number of pandas in the wild is increasing and there are now areas of protected habitat in the wild for them.

The pandas are housed in large enclosures that mimic their natural habitat. As well as giant pandas the centre also has red pandas, which as excessively cute. Here are some pictures of the pandas we saw today:
