I take a trip to Wat U Mong Buddhist monastery just outside of Chiang Mai. I don’t want to do too much sightseeing in Chiang Mai itself, because Mum will be joining me here next week and we will see a lot of sights then as part of our trip.
This wat is set in a forest and has a quiet atmosphere. It is famous for its brick-lined tunnels. There wasn’t any information available in English and the few monks around were giving talks to tourists in Thai, so I don’t have much to say about the place, so I’ll just show you the photos.
