So what's the plan?

If you would like to know where I am going and when, here's my itinary:

3rd September- 25 September Kerala, southern India
26 September-5 October Nepal
6 October-30 October China
31 October- 30 November Thailand and Malaysia
30 November - 19 December Bali
20 December - 20 May New Zealand south island`and a possible side trip to Australia
20 May- 3 June Fiji
3 June- 30 Aug Canada
1 Sept fly home from New York

waiting to travel

I have been out of my house for just over two weeks now and have been prevailing on the hospitality of my family - I'm sure they want to spend some quaility time with me before I go!

I had a lovely week at the caravan with Kate and her family.

I have also been catching up with friends. I am really enjoying the social time with people - but it's sad too to think of leaving them and it's been very heart-warming to receive everyone's best wishes. It all makes me appreciate the wonderful family and friends I have.

I have a sense of doing things for the last time.....

preparing to travel

I finished work at the end of term in July and have spent the last few weeks making my preparations to travel. My house is now packed up and let out to tenants, so I am homeless and prevailing on the hospitality of my family for the last few weeks before I leave.

Here are some pictures of the things I have been doing; the special people and places I would take with me if I could and what I will miss most.

It's hard to leave behind the people I love most, but I am excited about what lies ahead.
